Bulgarian Association of Tug Owners was established in 2010.

The Association unites all towage companies operating in the Bulgarian sea ports.

BATO main goals are development of the towage sector, improving the safety in the Bulgarian ports and raising the standards related to towage activities.

In order to achieve its goals BATO actively cooperates with the competent Government authorities, with the relevant services and institutions of the European Union, as well as with other international organisations.

Bulgarian Association of Tug Owners is affiliated member of the European Tugowners Association (ETA).
